Encampment Church 6 x8 oil on canvas on hardboard SOLD
This church is in the town of Encampment,Wyoming. Encampment is on of my most favorite places to paint. The town is rich in mining history and the surrounding mountains have all the painting a person like me desires. As long as I have known the town I haven't seen it grow in size but it grows in character.

South Park Church 6 x 8 oil on canvas on hardboard SOLD
This little community church is in the South Park town of Jefferson Colorado. I love South Park because it is one of those places in Colorado that has not been developed. Jefferson is at the base of Kenosha pass on Hyw 285. This artery goes from Denver all the way to Taos and beyond. Taking this route is to turn back in history and to experience the rich history and culture of southern Colorado. Two hundred years ago this area belonged to Mexico. The Families have roots that go back to the land grant days before this country was taken over by the United States. There is lots to paint down there.

Spanish Country Church 6 x 8 oil on canvas on hardboard SOLD
A few years back a couple of painting friends hooked up and painted along the New Mexico, Colorado border. There are a number of old, old spanish churches that have tremendous charm. At the time I did some field sketches and photo refrences. While working on this painting today I recalled the good time we all had together doing plein air.
