- George Coll Daily Painter
- George Coll lives west of Loveland, Colorado, with his wife Jennifer. In 1994, they purchased their two-acre property with a 1920s-built-home, a barn and several outbuildings that include a studio he built in 1999. This rambling property at the base of the Rocky Mountains is also home to George’s two pack llamas. Night Train and Cardamom who love to trek into the backcountry with George to carry his paint supplies. George works from life. George’s landscape paintings are composed on location to capture the essence of light. His larger landscapes/cityscapes are completed in the studio from his on-location field studies. George’s figurative paintings are inspired by his friends and acquaintances, which patiently model for him until completed.

This is simply breathtaking. The warm light pushing through this cool weather scene is remarkable. Let me know if you ever have payment plans!
On another note, I have a painting of yours in my nursery. I used it to add interest and color without having babyish stuff in the room. My child likes it so much that she somehow got the vaseline and decided to fingerpaint overtop of the prairie you had painted! i was so torqued! the good news is that the vaseline came off pretty easily...but i'm wondering if i should put a coat of varnish on the piece, just in case my child decides to get painterly again....please advise. thank you! jen rynbrandt
