This is a large painting done in the studio. I did a smaller 8x10 inch field study earlier and posted on the blog last week. I love the drama created by the dark shadows on the foreground with the larger mountains in the back. I create larger paintings from the field studies and this is an example of the outcome. I hope you love it as much as I do.
